We can describe what this Saturday and Sunday night’s Queensland Speedway Spares World Series Sprintcars Grand Final will be like using simple words. Enthralling. Exciting. Thrilling.
This weekend, the Kwinana Beach venue will once again the final two rounds of the QSS World Series Sprintcars Championship that begun on boxing day in South Australia.
Since then they have travelled through Victoria, Queensland, Tasmania and now, they finish here in Western Australia.
With the QSS WSS Championship still up for grabs, it’s anyone’s pick who will win the final two rounds of the series this weekend with around 40 teams entered for the Grand Final.
James McFadden has a handy 160 point lead over reigning series champion Jamie Veal who won last Saturday night in Bunbury and mathematically can still win the championship – There is still over 700 points up for grabs over the two nights!
This year’s series is amongst one of the highest quality fields seen since the series began back in 1987 – A contracted drivers list of 16 that includes 11 rookies and two of the USA’s next generation of stars, Carson Macedo and Dominic Scelzi both from California.
But they won’t have it all their own way with the cream of WA’s Sprintcar talent also here to shake up the order.
Shaun Bradford has been the hot form driver here of late, collecting back to back feature race wins to add to his win back in October at the Powerpalooza event.
Add to this, the mix the Maiolo’s, Kendrick, Priolo and the rest from the west who want to steal victory from the travelling brigade…. So, who will take it out?
Best to cure curiosity and get to the Motorplex this weekend for both days guys
