Anthony Page is no stranger to the Winners Podium at Burnout King having won last year’s event in front of a huge home crowd and with a 12 months that can only be described as close to perfect it’s easy to see why “PAGEY” would be considered one of the favourites for this Fridays event.
After taking the win at Summernats 30 in the Burnout Championship, he then went on to win Burnout King last year, followed by a win at West Coast Nats & Oznats. And placing 8th in the Burnout Masters at Summernats 31 against 30 of the biggest cars in the country.
Speaking with Pagey this week he’s currently elbow deep in an engine freshen up before Friday’s show.
The 410 Cube Small Block Chev has seen a heap of punishment over the last 6 years, and apart from a couple of bearing changes and a leak down test over this time the engine has been basically untouched.
With the help of Derek from Paulik engines they are going through the engine in preparation for Burnout King & UBC over the coming weeks, after these 2 competitions are completed Pagey intends to make the change from twin carburettors to an already purchased Injector Hat which will see the engine receive some long overdue upgrades in preparation for more Boost.
If you haven’t seen Pagey on a Burnout pad make sure you get down to Burnout King this Friday at the Perth Motorplex to watch him put on a Driving Clinic, as he only knows one speed. And with the likes of Matt James (current Summernats Burnout Master) as his biggest competitor Pagey will need to bring his “A” game.
Anthony would like to thank the continued support of Paulik Engines & Dickers Speed Shop.
