The current catastrophic fire situation sweeping the country has unfortunately put a halt to the phenomenal Aeroflow Outlaw Nitro Funny Car show due to hit Perth Motorplex January 4th, 2020.
The Summer Slam event has been created with 10 Top DoorSlammers, 2 nitro funny cars and 7 nitro bikes. $1 from every ticket sold from the event will go to the Bushfire Appeal to assist those effected.
In addition, to show support in such a terrible situation Perth Motorplex will be working alongside the Mandogalup Volunteer Bush Fire Brigade to raise much needed funds for the families affected by these horrific circumstances.
We spoke with Captain Craig Treeby of the Mandogalup Volunteer Bush Fire Brigade and he had this to say:
“The devastating situation that is sweeping across the country now is very distressing for everyone.”
“The last thing we are thinking when we respond to emergencies is that one of us might not be coming back. All of us here at the station want to help support to the families of the volunteer fire fighters tragically killed in the line of duty, while defending families and homes of strangers.”
“What Perth Motorplex is doing to show support to the rest of the state is amazing.”
The money we collect from the tin rattle will be donated in full to the NSW Rural Fire Service bank accounts set up for the families of volunteer fire fighters Geoffrey Keaton, Andrew O’Dwyer and Samuel McPaul, as detailed on this page:
There will be a fire trucks on display for kids young and old to enjoy.
We would love for everyone to get around and show support.
