 This Wednesday there are two events in one day starting with an ANDRA Test and Tune in
preparation for this weekends huge 37th
annual Westernationals..
Awesome Top Doorslammers, Top Bikes and a host of other drag racing teams will be on hand.
The event is open to all ANDRA license holders.
The Competitor gates open at 8:30am with Testing between 11am and 4pm.
Then two hours later the ever popular Genie
Exhaust Whoop Ass Wednesdays for
roadworthy, muffled Street vehicles starts alonmg with a visit from the Auto Cross Dirt Drifting guys on the Speedway.
Every week there are lots of great giveaways like free
movie tickets, free CD's and free passes to Speedway and Drag Racing events also you have the chance to win free tickets the other Major shows at at Perth
Motorplex too!!! |
The AutoX boys provide heaps of action - including killing the venues bollards! |
There is a wide variety of cars from daily drivers to full on race prepped
dirt vehicles in action on the Speedway track. |
The $600 reaction time challenge is still providing
plenty of fun for racers and spectators alike! Every week the racer with the quickest reaction time up until the
Burnouts around 9 o'clockish will take home 300 dollars in cold hard cash!  The second quickest will receive $150 dollars and third quickest
will take home 50 bucks! An extra $100 per week will go into the Perfect Light (.000) bonus Jackpot Kitty and the
first racer to get that elusive .000 on their time card will take home the Winners prize of $300 plus whatever
is in the Perfect Light kitty! The current leaders will be displayed on the BIg Screen during evening so everyone
can see the mark to beat... so sharpen up those reflexes and get down to Genie Exhaust Whoop Ass Wednesday for your chance to get amongst the bucks! |

| For those wishing to try out their car or bike, Genie Exhaust Whoop Ass Wednesday legal Off Street Racing is just the thing for everyone wishing
to experience the thrill of Drag Racing without the pressure of competition. You can race whenever you want and
whoever you want. It is a great opportunity to race your mates or partners (yeah girls its not just for the guys!!!)

All you need to compete is a roadworthy (unlicenced
ok) muffled Street Car or Bike and clothing requirements as below;
Road worthy closed cars (Sedans/Utes
etc) Min clothing, a helmet and long
sleeves, long pants and enclosed footware.
Road worthy open cars (convertibles/roadsters)
slower than 12.99 seconds (1/4mile)/8.50
(1/8mile). Min clothing, a helmet leather jacket or bike jacket with appropriate inserts, full face helmet and
visor full leather gloves long pants and shoes and socks.

(1/8mile). As per ANDRA rules ie: roll cage, arm restraints, harness, etc
All Motorcycle riders need a recognised riding jacket with appropriate protection
inserts, or preferably a leather riding jacket and full leather motorcycle riding gloves.
All drivers and riders must hold or
have held a civil drivers licence.

18's must have parents consent to race.

Full Face or Open Face Helmets bearing any of these standards are acceptable;

You can race your car or bike as many times as you wish and you will find the staff on hand only too willing to
ensure that your experience here at Perth Motorplex is an enjoyable one.
To ensure everyone gets a number of runs each Wednesday - entries are restricted to 160, however those missing
out will be given a voucher that will guarantee that they get to race on the following Wednesday night. |
 And for those wishing to take on the Hankook Tyres 'Snake Pit' burnout pad there is ample
opportunity at around 9pm. The first 5 racers to nominate on Genie Exhaust Whoop Ass Wednesdays for duties on the 'Snake Pit' will have a ball smoking up their tyres in front of their
friends. The winner will receive a Trophy
and Free Entry to the next Genie Exhaust Whoop Ass Wednesday event. |
