Californian Kyle Hirst is part of a star-studded field to contest the event, proudly sponsored by Watsons Express Transport, and has every intention of steering the WA-based Monte Motorsport USA 17 to victory.
The popular racer only had his first race with this WA-based team here two weeks ago as they prepare for a major campaign, contesting headline races across the country.
Hirst was second quickest in qualifying but lost momentum in the heat race and had to qualify for the 40-lap A Main event after winning the last chance qualifier.
From there he started from P19 and muscled his way up to fifth place by the end of the final, a hint of what we can expect from the professional driver this Saturday night.
Just don’t expect the local posse to roll out the welcome mat for this high-speed tourist.
It is THEIR championship and they are hell-bent on the trophy remaining in WA.
With a field that also includes Sydney’s Brooke Tatnell, 7-time WA champion Ryan Farrell, 4-time champion Mark Wells, two-time champion Jamie Maiolo and former title holders Jason Kendrick and David Priolo, along with a host of other hotshots such as Shaun Bradford, Cameron Gessner, Ken Sartori and many more, it is going to be game on.
The final will be run and won over 30 laps.
But wait…there’s more…we will also have another round of the AJ Cochrane and Sons Formula 500s and TWO Late Model feature races.
You don’t want to miss this one!
Book your tickets online now and we will see you trackside this Saturday night.
