Fred Watson took out his fourth straight event at Burnout Blitz on December 17, 2016 at Perth Motorplex.
Driving the FEAR Monaro in its last WA appearance before making the trek to Summernats, Watson drove out a well controlled burnout with plenty of use of the pad, earning him good points with the judges and the $10,000 prize.
Runner up was Jason Ballard in BADWB while Matt James took third place in UNWANTED with a flame throwing, aggressive skid.
STRUGLIN made a surprise appearance but left Justen Brown with some work to do ahead of Summernats, getting a rear quarter panel into the wall. At least Jason Fletcher was able to do some handstands as the token Santa Claus for the evening!
Norman Burrows put MEAN13 into the winner’s circle for NA Open, scoring a narrow one point victory over Adam Jolley in LETLOOSE and Jake Higgs in FOGGIN.
The Jet Dragsters even made a surprise appearance during the night, presenting a rare twin fire show!
The burnout barons of WA will next be back at Motorvation 31 presented by KFC where $10,000 will again be on the line for the best skid of the event.
