ALFONSO Guadagnino is in the box seat to win The Pool Shop Group Speedcar track championship when another round is contested at the Perth Motorplex on Saturday night.
Alfie leads on 1892 from Scott Glazebrook on 1818, Jason Tremeer 1815, sensational youngster Kaiden Manders 1715 and Glen Mears on 1636.
To win the championship he will need to stay out of trouble and be as fast as possible in the Easter Saturday showdown.
But that will be easier said than done when you see who he is up against.
Dayne Kingshott is the red-hot driver in this division in this country at the moment and he heads into the DiCandilo Steel City Silver Cup round with form on this side.
He won in convincing fashion from Kaiden Manders and Todd Waddell here last Saturday night.
Kingshott started from pole in the 30-lap feature race and was never challenged, stretching his lead as the race progressed and continuing his dominant season behind the wheel of the #24 machine.
The winning margin was 5.349 seconds.
Apart from Speedcars, there will be the Wormall Civil Sprintcars, TW Mechanical 360 Sprintcars, Harris Engines Wingless Sprints, DiCandilo Steel City Limited Sprintcars and the final of the Carbusters WA Demolition Derby Championship.
Sensational racing and a smashing finish – great races why you need to be here this Saturday.
