The American-based Sydneysider has 2966 points after he finished third in last Saturday night’s round at Quit Bunbury Speedway.
This was an impressive recovery for the driver of the W2 after he started from P11.
Victorian Jamie Veal has 2886 points and finished second to Californian Kyle Hirst in Bunbury after starting from P3.
South Aussie Steven Lines, who was fifth in Bunbury and won the previous night in Albany, is third overall.
Hirst has improved his ranking after two feature race wins in the last three shows, while James McFadden is fifth after posting a DNF in the Bunbury round.
The World Series teams will be up against a red-hot local list of drivers all keen to show them the quick way around the track.
