IT was not that many years ago that James McFadden was one of the new kids on the block when it came to Australian Sprintcar racing.
He burst onto the scene with plenty of raw speed and talent and a liberal dose of confidence as well.
And he quickly started to produce results that made people pay attention.
Fast forward a little and McFadden is hot property at the moment, being one of the guys to beat, no matter what race track he rocks up to around the country.
The good news for WA fans is that he will be racing at the Perth Motorplex this weekend – subbing in the W2 Krikke Motorsport entry that is normally driven by Brooke Tatnell.
With Tatnell on his way back to America for a long-overdue reunion with his family, team owner Shane Krikke wanted to put someone in the car for this Saturday night’s Washpod Westernapolis that is also the Grand Final of the AHG Sprintcar Series.
And that man is McFadden, a multiple Australian Sprintcar Champion as well as World Series Sprintcars champion.
This Saturday ‘JMac’ will take on a strong field of local drivers who are all keen to crank out a win in the 30-lap feature race.
The show will also feature the WA Limited Sprintcar Championship, the Quest Apartments Late Model s and The Pool Shop Group Speedcars.
Book your tickets online and we will see you trackside this Saturday night!
