THE announcement of a new naming rights sponsor for WA’s high-profile sprintcar series heralds a new era for the sport.
That’s the view of Sprintcar Entrants Group chairman Geoff Kendrick after tonight it was announced that the series would now be known as the Maddington Toyota Sprintcar Series

The announcement was made in front of drivers, team owners and race officials at the impressive Maddington Toyota showroom on Albany Highway.
“This is the 19th year the Sprintcar Entrants Group has been running the series – a series that is Australia’s most prestigious domestic speedway series and we are excited that
Maddington Toyota has become involved,” Geoff said.
“Since the series began this is only the third naming rights sponsor we have had, showing how loyal we are to our major backers and we are looking forward to representing and
showcasing Maddington Toyota and its parent company IDOM Automotive Group in a positive light over a long period of time.
“Sprintcar racing in Western Australia is in good hands and that has been boosted by the calibre of the company that is now behind us.

Maddington Toyota Dealer Principal Paul Davies said the company was proud to play a major role in the new-look series.
“Sprintcars and speedway are a major part of the sport and entertainment landscape here in WA and we are very excited that the high-profile competition will now be known as the
Maddington Toyota Sprintcar Series,” Paul said.
“Our backing of the sport is part of the long-term plan of IDOM’s plans for expansion across Australia.”
Maddington Toyota is part of DVG Automotive, founded in 1994, which has 19 new-car franchises in 12 locations in Western Australia and is now majority-owned by Japanese
automotive group Gulliver International – now known as IDOM Automotive Group.

He said Maddington Toyota was dedicated to delivering long-term guests the best price, best service and most of all, an enjoyable experience to cherish and remember.
“Maddington Toyota has an experienced sales team to guarantee you complete satisfaction, no matter which Toyota you purchase – and we invite everyone involved in
Sprintcars and speedway to come and experience our dealership and all it offers – we have a comprehensive range of sedans, hybrids, SUVs, 4WDs utes and vans for you to look at

IDOM Automotive Group chief operating officer Tony Salerno is also excited about the new arrangement with the Sprintcar Entrants Group.
“We are excited about the company’s potential for growth and everyone is keen to explore those growth opportunities through community partnerships such as with the Maddington
Toyota Sprintcar Series,” Tony said.
He said IDOM was very big on pricing transparency and looking after its guests, seeing that as a big platform to tap into here in Australia – including with the speedway community.
“I look forward to getting down to the race track and talking to the drivers, crews and race fans who will be following the Maddington Toyota Sprintcar Series this summer.”
