TUFF 68? TRY TUFFER 68!
Thursday 22nd July 2010
For regular attendee's of the Perth Motorplex, Martin Mirco's stunning Black 68 Camaro Streeter, TUFF 68, is a well known sight at events including Autotrader Fast Fridays, Motorvation and even the Good Friday Burnout King.
On many weekends Martin can either be found in the shed at Perth Glory games or at the Perth Motorplex competing in the immaculate Camaro.
But after running several 10 second passes last years Westernationals, Mirco thought his short racing career had come to an end as he had no intention of putting a roll cage in the Camaro.
But Lady Luck was smiling and on the very same weekend he spotted a US built 68 Camaro near identical to his streeter on ebay.
The car was in Melbourne so Mirco jumped on a plane and made a quick trip east to check out the car and a deal was struck.
Not wanting to entrust the shipping of his new pride and joy to anyone else he decided to drive to Melbourne to pick it up.
The car had only arrived in Australia in July 2009 from Tennessee with Mirco actually having the green title from the last US owner.
The cowl tag says it was an original Leman's blue car and was painted black in March 2008.
After arriving in Australia the car was only raced a couple of times at Victoria in February 2010.

Fate, Karma - call it what you will but the new 'race' 68 Camaro was destined to be Mircos given it's striking similarity to his TUFF 68 Streeter. |
