Look closer...as this IS NOT TUFF 68!

For regular attendee's of the Perth Motorplex, Martin Mirco's stunning Black 68 Camaro Streeter, TUFF 68, is a well known sight at events including Autotrader Fast Fridays, Motorvation and even the Good Friday Burnout King.

On many weekends Martin can either be found in the shed at Perth Glory games or at the Perth Motorplex competing in the immaculate Camaro.
TUFF68 street 1 350.jpg Martin puts TUFF 68 through it's paces on the quarter mile...
TUFF68 street 2 350.jpg ...and unbelievably Martin is not frightened let it loose on the Hankook Tyres Snakepit - making the Top 10 on no less than three occassions resulting in two 4th placings and a 10th place!
But after running several 10 second passes last years Westernationals, Mirco thought his short racing career had come to an end as he had no intention of putting a roll cage in the Camaro.

But Lady Luck was smiling and on the very same weekend he spotted a US built 68 Camaro near identical to his streeter on ebay.

The car was in Melbourne so Mirco jumped on a plane and made a quick trip east to check out the car and a deal was struck.

Not wanting to entrust the shipping of his new pride and joy to anyone else he decided to drive to Melbourne to pick it up.
 TUFF68 350.jpg After a 7 day - 7,000 kilometre round trip the new 68 was home.
The car had only arrived in Australia in July 2009 from Tennessee with Mirco actually having the green title from the last US owner.

The cowl tag says it was an original Leman's blue car and was painted black in March 2008.

After arriving in Australia the car was only raced a couple of times at Victoria in February 2010.

TUFF68 1 350.jpg Fate, Karma - call it what you will but the new 'race' 68 Camaro was destined to be Mircos given it's striking similarity to his TUFF 68 Streeter.

TUFF 68? Sounds more like a TUFFER 68!

So there is only one question that remains....what is better than having a 68 Camaro?

Why that would be owning TWO 68 Camaro's!

Mirco will commence licensing the new 'TUFFER 68' prior to the commencement of the 2010/2011 season in preparation for the first Autotrader Fast Friday on October 15
