| It's official - the Perth Motorplex will host the 47th running of the Australian
Sprintcar Championship in February 2009. The event will be conducted over three nights commencing Thursday 5th of February and concluding on Saturday 7th February. This is the first time that Australian Speedway's most prestigious event has been conducted at the Perth Motorplex which is arguably one of the world's finest Speedway venues. The Australian Sprintcar Championship was last run in Perth at the now defunct Claremont Speedway in 1993. It is anticipated that the 2009 title will attract the largest field of Sprintcars ever assembled at the Perth Motorplex and will include teams from all Australian states. Perth Motorplex Speedway Manager, Gavin Migro, said "We are excited to have the Nations premier Speedway event scheduled for this fantastic venue which will be real treat for Speedway fans around Australia ". He continued "The entire Perth Motorplex team is committed to delivering a fantastic event as befits the prestigious the Australian Sprintcar Championship". |
| SPECTATOR TICKETING Spectator pricing and details will be released shortly with the usual Perth Motorplex choices of General Admission, Silver and Gold reserved available. Both Gold and Silver passes will include access to the Paddock area so fans can see their favorite drivers up close. Gold reserved seating will for this event will only be available as a Weekend Pass or as a Perth Motorplex season member. |
