Local Brother and Sister to race in the USA!
First stop will be New Jersey to meet up with Fred Craw who invited the Wroes to come and race at the NHRA O'Reilly Jr. Drag Racing League Eastern Conference Finals and the Mike Bos Racing.com Jr. Dragster Nationals at the famous Bristol Dragway in Tennessee.
For the first time, the Mike Bos Junior Dragster Nationals, taking place July 5-6, will be held in conjunction with the Eastern Conference Finals. Junior Dragster teams will rule the strip with over eight days of action in Thunder Valley as both events are Junior Dragster ONLY shows with about 800 racers competing.
Nicholas who is a former Australian Champion said "Basically we are being sponsored by Craws Racing USA as Ashleigh & I are being supplied with a car each and we will be able to race in the 7.90 sec bracket (can't wait for that one!!!!). We will be doing some Test n Tune days when we get there and will attend the NHRA Supernationals at Raceway Park in Englishtown which is Freddie's home track".
"Fred is also supplying us with a 38ft Motorhome which we will travel in for our 7 week family holiday... We will tour the east coast from Niagara Falls to Florida... All up we will be racing for 2 weeks and hopefully race in 3-4 events". he added excitedly.
As you can imagine Nicholas and Ashleigh are starting to get very excited and maybe just a bit nervous now, as they prepare to travel half way around the world and mix it with the best Junior Dragster racers in the USA.
The lucky duo have promised to keep us informed of their travels via email so we can keep everyone up to date on their progress.
