What a great night down at the Perth Motorplex was had by one and all at the Genie Exhaust Whoop Ass Wednesday last night. A trick sunset, little breeze, balmy conditions and a healthy crowd enjoying a balmy Perth summers night watching a great variety of Street machines taking on the Perth Motorplex quarter mile. IS THERE A TREND?... Looking at the Green Torrie (how green is it?!?!?!) I wondered if there was a trend...was it the colour green?

OR BRIGHT COLOURS? ..if it is not the colour green perhaps it was who has the lairiest colour?

OR THE WHEELIE?... ...if it is not the colour of the Torrie then it must be wheelies as the Torrie couldn't keep the steerers on the deck...neither could the Duke....

NO TREND HERE!... ...there may have been a trend in 1939..but I cannot see it?!?! (There are some who will argue that cars should have stayed this way!).

HOWBIGSYA MILO CAN?... Now here is a trend some would argue is not needed...but if you want a big Milo can hanging off the back of your street beast...then there is no better place to go that Genie Exhaust 60 Norma Road Myaree (yes - a blatent ad...but as they are the event sponsor we are allowed too...)

REACTION TIME RESULTS... It was a slow old night in the weekly Genie Exhaust Reaction time competition...I mean to say as good as a pair of 0.006's is...they would nomally be good enough only for a placing - not the winning times...Matt Ward jumped into first place with about 15 minutes to go...then on one of the final runs Jarrod Date did his best to pinch the $300 from Matt but could only match the 0.006 to grab $150. Mark Taylor was sitting precariously in first place from 7:45 with a 0.013 but hung on for the $50 third place prize after Matt and Jarrods last minute run at the dollars.
