A FIRST and a second in the first two feature races of the four-night USA v WA Sprintcar Speedweek battle – not a bad effort from young American Parker Price-Miller.
After claiming victory in round 1 at the Perth Motorplex on Boxing Day PPM then backed this up with a second to fellow countryman Ryan Smith at Quit Bunbury Speedway on Saturday night.
As a result he heads into the third round – back at the Perth Motorplex on Monday night with a spring in his step.
“It’s been good so far, we have hard to work hard though,” Price-Miller said.
“It came to use easy at Perth and we could lock in some good times, but tonight (at Bunbury on Saturday night) we didn’t qualify very good.
“In the first we were pretty slow and in the second heat race we moved forward with a few dropouts.”
Price-Miller tried a few different things in the Dash for Cash before starting fifth in the feature race.
He got by Jason Kendrick for second with 10 laps to go and pushed hard in traffic to try and make a move on Smith, but couldn’t make up enough ground in the run to the checkers.
See the Americans in action this Monday night – where more than 50 sprintcars will be featured in the annual Sprintcar Muster that also includes 360 Sprintcars and Limited Sprintcars.
