DAVID Priolo’s all-or-nothing approach to racing produces some spectacular results when he buckles up in the #8 Watsons Express Transport Cool chassis.
It also produces some spectacular DNFs as the second-generation sprintcar racer pushes his car to the absolute limits.
Priolo was eyeing off podium finishes in the first two rounds of the Wormall Civil Sprintcar track championship here at the Perth Motorplex but posted a pair of DNFs after engine dramas and then a crash.
He turned it round with a strong second to Ryan Farrell in the opening round of the Bunbury series a couple of weeks ago and will go into this weekend’s Scardifields Smash Repairs King of Wings with plenty of confidence.
Priolo is one of 28 drivers locked into the show where the feature race will be decided over 40 laps and punctuated with a compulsory infield pitstop at mid-race distance.
He will be up against the likes of Californian Kyle Hirst and now American-based Brooke Tatnell who is originally from Sydney.
Throw into the mix South Australian Ryan Jones and some of the WA legends such as Ryan Farrell, Mark Wells, Jamie Maiolo, Cameron Gessner, Jason Kendrick and Shaun Bradford and it is going to be game on.
The show will also feature the AJ Cochrane and Sons Formula 500s, The Pool Shop Group Speedcars, TW Mechanical 360 Sprintcars and Limited Sprintcars.
Book your tickets online and we will see you trackside this Saturday night.
