It was a massive relief for the driver of the #8 Watsons Express Transport Cool chassis who had shown so much speed this season but up until this point had been unable to convert it to a win.
Priolo claimed round seven of the AHG Sprintcar Series in front of a strong crowd after starting from pole position, next to Ben Ellement.
Maiolo started from P4, alongside Kendrick and the two of them looked strong in the latter part of the race but were no match for Priolo who said afterwards that he was conserving tyre wear and still had a bit left should either of them have mounted a serious challenge.
The race hadn’t even completed a lap when Andrew Priolo, who started from P9, flipped in pits bend.
From the onset of the 30-lap final there were great duels right throughout the pack with plenty of bold moves and slide jobs.
Ellement went too wide on lap eight, tagging the fence before blowing his right rear tyre a lap later, throwing away a handy lead he had built up in lapped traffic.
By that stage he joined Scott Chatwin, Jake Beard-Miller, Daryl Clayden and Ryan Farrell on the infield.
The red lights came on a couple of laps later after Troy Lawson tipped the #83 machine in pits bend.
Kendrick, who was forced to change an engine after the second round of heats, mounted a challenge on Maiolo on the restart but wasn’t able to make it stick with the #77 car reclaiming the spot a lap later.
Ken Sartori started from P6 and finished strongly for fourth while Shaun Bradford, who originally started from P7 worked his way from the back of the pack after changing a tyre on the first red light, to finish fifth.
Jamie Maiolo was another driver who changed an engine before the feature race and drove well to convert a P13 start to sixth place.
Robert Watson junior was another who impressed, starting eighth and finishing seventh, seeing three of the Watsons Express Transport cars in the top 7 – a great reward for the Watson team.
It was also on the back of Watson winning the 360 feature race at the Motorplex seven days earlier.
Callum Williamson, Ryan Lancaster and Lee Nash rounded out the top 10.
It was a tough night for quite a few crews with Farrell posting another frustrating DNF despite showing plenty of car speed early on.
Kye Scroop was out of the weekend’s double header before the feature race with engine issues.

ALLTOOLS FORMULA 500S
MATT Brown started the night in Formula 500s the same way he finished it – with a win.
Brown won the first heat race of the night from Tom Hooper and Shane Andersson.
Unfortunately this race was marred by an incident involving Adrian Haywood in the Plus Fitness #55 machine.
He landed awkwardly in the first corner and suffered what appeared to be either back or hip pain and was taken to hospital for treatment.
Troy Johnson won the second heat from Jamie Nardini and Matt Higgs, setting up a Brown/Johnson front-row start for the 15-lap final that went to Brown.
The margin back to second-placed Johnson was just 0.452 of a second with Hooper taking third.
