When it comes to the WA burnout scene, no title holds as much prestige as Good Friday Burnout King.
But there has been plenty of excitement generated outside of the main comp too, with three pairs of double burnouts planned for maximum excitement. That’s right, two cars skidding at the same time in an ultimate test of skill!
Set to take place during the Expression Session, burnout fans will be treated to side by side exhibitions from Jason Fletcher (RUCKUS) and Colin Byrne (SEWERSIDE), Matt Purnell (BLACKOUT) and Anthony Page (PAGEY), and Nick Smith (JOBZON) and Claude Fernandes (DONETIME). These skilled drivers are planning out routines right now with the aim to deliver maximum noise and smoke in a sensory overload for the thousands of spectators who will be in attendance.
As well as the $10,000 prize for the winner of the Blown class comp, it’s a ‘Golden Ticket’ event for Summernats, meaning entrants who do well qualify for the legendary Canberra car show’s burnout comp, while there will also be free entries for the Red Centre Nats on the line too.
Competitor gates open from 12pm, with pre-comp skids running from 12.30pm to 3.30pm. All entrants are welcome to take part in this session and it is included free of charge with your competition entry. From 4.30pm the comp itself begins with NA Open before the Blown cars hit the pad at 8pm.
The Expression Session, including the double burnouts, will take place from approximately 9.30pm.
