Tai Woffinden, Jack Smith, Leon Flint and Drew Kemp will form Team GB to take on eight of WA’s best Speedway Solo riders at the World Class Facility on Kwinana Beach.
Tai Woffinden who grew up in Perth, is a three time World Speedway Champion, after claiming titles in 2013, 2015 and 2018. The 29 year old is an 11-time Speedway Grand Prix winner while also being an U/18 and U/21 British Champion.
Jack Smith is the next Team GB rider. Smith began his junior career riding at Pinjar Park Speedway before heading back to England to race. The son of three-times British Champion Andy Smith, young Jack joined Birmingham in the latter part of the 2015 season and won the National League title with the Brummies. He currently rides for the Cradley Heathens in the UK.
Leon Flint, the third rider for Team GB and also the youngest at only 16 years old, currently races in the UK for the Berwick Bandits, who are a speedway team based at Shielfield Park, Berwick upon Tweed. The club competes in the British SGB Championship.
Drew Kemp, The final rider has an impressive resume when it comes to Speedway racing in the UK. He became 500cc British Youth Speedway Champion in August 2017, the same month he turned 15 and eligible for his first taste of league racing. Kemp was a Silver Medalist with Team GB, while representing Great Britain in the U/21 World Team Final. Kemp in 2019 also won the European U/19 Speedway Cup Semi Final and the British U/19 Championship.
