THE race is wide open to win the final feature race of the 2017-18 sprintcar season at the Perth Motorplex as part of the Powerpalooza on Saturday, April 7.
So far this year Victorian Jamie Veal, who has won four sprintcar feature races here in WA so far this season is the red-hot favourite to win again.
He has nominated in the Krikke Motorsport W2 for the final fling and will be a strong chance to claim victory number five.
Veal’s first win of the season was at the Motorplex on December 9 – winning the WA Sprintcar Championship.
He then backed this up with a win at Quit Bunbury Speedway in February when World Series Sprintcars stopped off there.
On top of this he won both nights of the Krikke Boys Shootout at the South West venue on the March long weekend.
Perth driver Shaun Bradford has claimed three feature race wins in open sprintcar ranks so far this year.
This included the season-opener at the Motorplex back in October and then two wins in a row at the Motorplex in January.
James McFadden and Jason Kendrick have both won two feature races each.
Single wins have gone to Jason Pryde, Brad Maiolo, Americans Parker Price-Miller and Ryan Smith and Jamie Maiolo.
Will the dominance of Veal and Bradford continue or will someone else break through for their maiden win?
Book your tickets online and be trackside next Saturday night to find out.
