THE final round of the AHG Sprintcar Series Triple Crown will be run at the Perth Motorplex on Saturday April 7 and will wrap up the 2017-18 WA Sprintcar Season.
The Triple Crown has been part of the landscape for the past couple of seasons and is a mini series on the back of the AHG Sprintcar Series that recently concluded – and was won by Jason Kendrick.
The first round of the Triple Crown was the first night of the Krikke Boys Shootout at Quit Bunbury Speedway on the March long weekend.
This was won by Jamie Veal from Kendrick and Darren Mollenoyux.
Night two was the final night of the Krikke Boys Shootout and this time around it was won by Veal from Luke Dillon and American Carson Macedo.
As a result Veal is leading the Triple Crown points from Macedo, Victorian David Murcott, South Australian Luke Dillon and Mollenoyux.
Most of the drivers in the top five will not be returning – opening up the door for some of the locals who are doing well in the points like Jamie Oldfield who is ninth and newly-crowned Australian 360 sprintcar champion Kaiden Manders who is 10th.
We can confirm that Veal is a starter for the final night – and will once again be in the Krikke Motorsport W2.
