A huge crowd turned out at Perth Motorplex on Saturday night for the 44th running of the Scardifields King of Wings, with Dayne Kingshott making history as the first driver to win the event three years in a row.

Maddington Toyota Sprintcars – Scardifields Smash King of Wings

The 44th running of the Scardifields Smash King of Wings delivered one of the closest finishes in event history. Kingshott started fifth and surged in the final laps to hold off Australian Champion James McFadden by just 0.01 seconds. Callum Williamson recovered from sixth after the mandatory pit stop to complete the podium.

Limited Sprintcars – Merv Woolford Memorial

Michael Keen paid tribute to Merv Woolford with a special “Dusty Dolittle” livery and continued his dominance in the class. Starting second, Keen quickly took the lead and stretched away to claim his sixth consecutive Merv Woolford Memorial win. Joel Ettridge and Glenn Dickinson completed the podium.
