PROJECT OVERVIEW
VenuesWest is delivering a major upgrade to the drag strip at Perth Motorplex to support the long‑term future of drag racing in Western Australia.
The project involves replacement of the existing drag strip, which has reached the end of its serviceable life.
Once complete, the new track will provide a safer, more reliable and more consistent racing surface for competitors, officials and event partners.
Construction and site establishment is scheduled to commence mid-May 2026 with works planned to be completed prior to the 2026–27 drag racing season.
