Whoop Ass Wednesday – Extended!

We’ve been having so much fun on Wednesday nights at the ‘Plex – we decided to pop a few extra’s into the mix for the Month of June!

Whats On?

Off Street drag racing

Ever wanted to unleash the power of your car or bike on the drag strip? This is your chance!
Come test your mettle and machine on the track! – get the reaction time dialled in and unleash the power! Drag Racers get multiple runs throughout the night – as many as you can get down the quarter mile in the space of a few hours!

ALL CARS AND BIKES, from ALL MAKES AND MODELS ARE WELCOME

Dial-Your-Own Racing

The next step to just sending it down the race track…from 7pm – 8pm each WAW night, we run ‘DYO rounds’ to give a semi-structured racing segment to all the drivers and riders! DYO Racing is an awesome step into the world of competitive drag racing with your own machinery.

Using your existing timeslips you can estimate your E.T. for the run, and nominate your own handicap for the races – and get paired up with other racers with their own handicap! The Handicaps determine who gets a ‘head start’ in the race…with the aim that both cars be appropriately handicapped to level the playing field.

Everyone gets multiple runs in the DYO rounds…with an award going to the ‘best package’ for cars and bikes at the end of the rounds. ‘Package’ is just the overall math between your Elapsed time, reaction time and your dial-in…the lowest number wins! (Package = E.T. + R.T. – Dial-In)

Don’t forget if you want to race you need to bring a Helmet, Long Pants (No Holes), Shoes and Socks (over the ankle) and Long Sleeve Shirt … Your car will need a minimum of a Lap/Sash Seat belt and an overflow bottle on the radiator. Motorcycle Riders will need a Full Face Helmet, Leather or purpose made Riding Jacket, Gloves and Boots that cover the ankle – that’s it, now let’s have some fun!

Burnouts

From approximately 8:30pm (sometimes 9:00pm) – the Burson Auto parts Snake Pit opens up for Burnouts!
Let your hair down and throw your car around the snake pit till the tyres pop – to the roar of the fans!
All burnouts entrants get one crack at the snake pit – with the ‘sickest skidder’ awarded a trophy licence plate by FAN VOTE – whomever scores the loudest cheers from the crowd wins!
