This weekends 96FM Powerpalooza Grand Final brings back the popular Late Models for one final fling in the dirt this weekend.
with over 20 cars entered once again, its anyones guess at who will reign supreme in the ultra competitive and highly entertaining class.
Like Sprintcars, the Track Championship for Late Models has been adding up as each event goes by. But this weekend, one final lot of numbers will be added to the tally.
Warren Oldfield leads it. Just. This year, aside from racing a crate motor and proving he is still one to beat, he has also been very consistent. He leads the championship by a mere 18 points over Paul Stubber, and 42 points over Michael Holmes and Veronica McCann.
But proving how close this division is, the top 6 drivers are separated by only 52 points. After missing rounds of the Track Championship, Ryan Halliday, Brad Blake and Kye Blight have all been at the pointy ends of the field when racing, but aren’t up there in the points.
Halliday, Blake and Blight plus the rest of the field will have a big say in how the Late Model Track Championship plays out this weekend!
