Following the recent rescheduling of the Spring Nationals to the November 20th & 21st weekend at Dragway @ The Bend, Perth Motorplex is excited to announce that the 51st Goldenstates Championship will kick off the 2026/27 Championship Drag Racing season at Perth Motorplex on December 11th & 12th!
“Top Doorslammer will lead the grand reopening of drag racing at Perth Motorplex when the Goldenstates returns on 11–12 December 2026,” said Rod Britton.
“The drag strip has been completely rebuilt in concrete for the full quarter-mile, and we’ve installed new LED stadium lighting. It’ll be good to have the fans back and see Championship racing here again.
“The meeting also falls just days before the 26th anniversary of the first drag cars running down the original strip on 16 December 2000. Twenty-six years on, competitors will have a brand-new racing surface to rotate the earth on.”
Perth Motorplex is excited to officially re-launch Championship Drag Racing action on the West Coast, after a season away from racing during the Drag Strip Replacement project undertaken by VenuesWest.
The 51st Annual Goldenstates Championship will see the launch of the new season at Perth Motorplex, headlined by the WA Top Doorslammer Championship, and featuring Round 6 of the ANDRA Regional Sportsman Series!
